I’ve reviewed thousands of resumes at Okta, Apple and some big tech (I used to be a career coach) if your content is strong and focused, 2 pages won’t hurt you
I used to recruit at CrowdStrike, Tesla, and Cloudflare. 2 pages is totally fine if it’s clear and relevant. Just use clean formatting, standard headers, and match keywords from the job description so "ATS" picks it up properly
For mid-career professionals (which it sounds like you are), 2 pages is the sweet spot. Especially in marketing!
I used to stress about squeezing everything into one page, but once I hit year 8 in marketing, i gave up on that. my resume’s now two clean pages. page 1 has all the heavy-hitters and recent wins, page 2 is older roles + freelance. Got me my last two jobs with no issues
I kept freelance stuff in a separate projects section so it didn’t make everything run long. might help you too!
as a recruiter: 2 pages is fine if it’s relevant. but if you’re putting stuff from 2011 that doesn’t apply… cut it 😅
one page is great for junior folks but once you’ve got a decade of work? 2 is totally normal imo
Got 10+ yrs too and my resume’s 2 pages, no complaints. Never had anyone say it was “too long.”
if it’s relevant, keep it. just make sure your best stuff is on page 1 so they don’t have to flip.
also in marketing, and mine’s 2 pages. 1 felt way too cramped once i passed 5 yrs experience tbh.
i got hired last year w/ a 2-pager. key is making sure everything on it actually matters. no fluff, no filler.

I’m updating my resume and not sure if I’m overthinking this, but how long is actually okay? I’ve got around 10 years of experience, a couple job switches, and some freelance stuff I’d like to include… but it’s getting into 2-page territory fast.
I keep reading conflicting advice Some say 1 page is a must or recruiters won’t even glance at it, others say 2 pages is fine as long as it’s relevant. I’m in marketing, if that matters.
What do y’all think? Should I trim it to death to fit one page or let it breathe a bit more if I’ve got legit experience? Curious what’s worked for others, especially if you’ve been hired recently.
