That’s such garbage. Eight interviews just to get ghosted by budget cuts. They shouldn’t even start hiring if they can’t commit.

I went thru eight rounds with a mid-size tech company. Coding tests, project presentations, all of it. They told me I was their top pick and hinted I’d be starting soon. Then out of nowhere: “Sorry, senior management just implemented a hiring freeze.” That’s it. No job. No nothing. I’m devastated. How can companies get away with this kind of whiplash?
