Got rejected from a job for not having LinkedIn profile
7 answers
I respect you for not having one tbh. The rest of us are trapped in engagement-bait hell.
companies love saying “we hire based on merit” then reject you over not having a virtual resume 2.0
It’s wild how LinkedIn went from “optional networking tool” to “mandatory identity proof.” Like it’s a passport or something.
I deleted mine last year and suddenly recruiters treat me like I don’t exist 💀
Honestly that’s a bullet dodged. If they care more about your profile than your actual work, imagine working there.
So… they want you to have LinkedIn so they can stalk you on it? Weird flex.
lmao getting rejected for not having LinkedIn is a new level of unserious 😭

Recruiter reaches out. Job is basically my resume copy-pasted. Everything is going well. Then he asks: “Where’s your LinkedIn?” I tell him I don’t have one never got any value from it and it just felt like social media spam. He says that might be a problem. Surprise: company passes on me. Not because of qualifications. But because I don’t use LinkedIn.
