Skills
- Deep Kubernetes expertise including cluster operations and troubleshooting
- Service mesh experience (Istio) and Helm chart management
- Experience building and maintaining custom CRDs, controllers, and operators
- Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Infrastructure automation with Terraform and Ansible
- GitOps workflows and GitLab CI/CD pipeline experience
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP multi-cloud environments
- Security and compliance knowledge for DoD/DevSecOps environments
- CKA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Engineer and optimize Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP for mission-critical workloads
- Ensure uptime, integrity, and secure operation of Mattermost chat systems and related services
- Automate cloud infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and GitOps practices
- Design and implement secure, compliant architectures aligned with DoD DevSecOps standards
- Develop and maintain custom CRDs, controllers, and operators as needed
- Collaborate with DevSecOps, Security, and Cloud Architecture teams to drive reliability and compliance
- Operate on a weekday shift schedule and support on-call responsibilities during assigned windows
- Conduct R&D and performance/scalability testing during non-peak windows
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance
