PRN Medical Assistant Mohs (WSO)
QualDerm Partners is currently seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for our Mohs Surgery team in Winston Salem, NC. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist patients undergoing Mohs surgery, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to surgical procedures.
- Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions and answer their questions.
- Provide exceptional care and support to patients throughout their surgical experience.
- Ensure medical and surgical rooms are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and smooth patient flow.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, with an emphasis on dermatology or surgical assisting preferred.
- Familiarity with Mohs surgery procedures and related terminology is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
