Manager of Technical Program Management, Software Release

An industry-leading data storage company seeking an experienced Manager of Technical Program Management to lead a high-impact team responsible for delivering complex hardware and software product releases. The role requires strategic program leadership, cross-functional influence, and a focus on operational excellence to accelerate time-to-market for large-scale storage programs.

Skills

  • Proven program leadership across full product lifecycle for hardware and software releases.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management with technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall release methodologies and large-scale SDLC practices.
  • Ability to define strategy, track KPIs, and drive decisions across distributed teams and vendors.
  • Financial planning experience for engineering programs (CapEx oversight).

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent, complex programs and direct reports (Technical Program Managers), setting strategy, tracking KPIs, and communicating status to executives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, vendors, and partners to identify dependencies and resolve conflicts.
  • Develop and scale processes for operational excellence that improve consistency and speed to market for releases.
  • Own product quality and delivery across the SDLC, incorporate customer feedback, and ensure field success.
  • Oversee CapEx planning and program financials, including spend tracking and forecasting.
  • Support career development and growth of direct reports, hiring and mentoring TPMs as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred but not required.
