We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team at ProRata, where we’re striving to create a fairer digital ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in the development of both the frontend and backend systems that power the Gist Console, a core platform in our partner experience. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and design to build scalable, high-quality features with a focus on performance, usability, and impact. This is an in-office role at our location in Bellevue, WA.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, SQL, and CSS
Develop and maintain integrations with backend services and APIs
Lead and participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions
Partner with designers to bring UI/UX designs to life with high fidelity and performance
Continuously optimize frontend and backend performance for speed, scalability, and reliability
Own features end-to-end (from concept to deployment and support)
Contribute to improving engineering best practices and team processes
Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, SQL, and modern CSS
Solid understanding of frontend architecture and state management
Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or OpenSearch
Familiarity with REST APIs and backend service development
Comfort diagnosing performance bottlenecks and debugging complex issues
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design
Ability to translate designs from tools like Figma into clean, production-ready code
Excellent communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python and training AI models for LLMs
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
Work Environment
Location: This position is Onsite. This role is based at our Bellevue, WA office location, and employees are expected to work on-site during regular business hours.
Compensation
The compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The estimated salary range for this role is 160,000 -200,000 USD.
