The Project Engineer for Plant Operations & Construction plays a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and facility-related projects within healthcare environments. This position ensures that all technology applications and initiatives are strategically managed to support organizational objectives, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with Plant Operations, IT, and Construction teams to ensure seamless integration of technology into facility upgrades, energy efficiency projects, seismic compliance efforts, and other capital initiatives. A strong understanding of hospital systems, infrastructure requirements, and clinical operations is preferred.
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), Construction Management, or a related field.2. Experience in healthcare facility operations, engineering, or construction project management.3. Knowledge of healthcare codes, building codes, and regulatory requirements including OSHPD/HCAI, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards.4. Experience with IT infrastructure and systems integration within construction and renovation projects.5. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.6. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.7. Proficiency with Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Office, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and AutoCAD or similar tools.8. PMP or other professional certification preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $68,640.00 to $100,380.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
