Position Summary:

Would you like to work for a locally owned bank that supports the community you live in? We are hiring for a full-time Credit Analyst. As a full-time Credit Analyst you will be responsible for using technical and analytical skills to conduct credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting credit information on existing and prospective customers and portfolios. Monitors customer accounts and loan portfolios in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss. Assists in detecting deterioration of loan quality. Prepares and may present credit presentations to Loan Officers and committees for use in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans.

Essential Duties May Include:

• Responsible for examining files systematically for adequacy of credit and collateral documentation, regulatory compliance, and loan policy conformance; review technical exceptions and deficiencies; Responds to regulatory compliance issues as needed;
• Analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests (including adherence to loan policy), recommending structure and risk rating.
• Completing accurate and consistent financial statements spreads, trend analyses, and collateral reviews in accordance with bank standards and loan policies.
• Performing loan reviews on all large credit relationships at least annually (up to authorized amounts). Administers the requirements set forth in the Loan Policy. Annually reviews all loans greater than $150,000.
• Assisting with maintaining and keeping current the tickler system and document filing.
• Monitoring loan documentation standards and notifies supervisor of exceptions. Informs loan officers on receipt of documentation requested from customers. Contacts credit customers as needed to ensure timely receipt of financial statements as required by loan provisions.
• Remains current with the market, key economic data, and regulatory changes which may impact the financial performance of the Bank.
• Establishes and maintains a systematic approach to monitoring and improving quality.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Needed: To be successful in this position you will have previous banking loan/credit experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in commercial, real estate, construction and consumer loan underwriting and loan portfolio management preferred. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality of customer service in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner consistent with Pillar Bank’s values and standards.

Required:

• Prefer 4-year college degree in accounting, finance or business administration (or related area)
• Prefer at least two (2) years of previous banking loan/credit experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in commercial, real estate, construction and consumer loan underwriting and loan portfolio management preferred.
