Skills
- Experience developing applied ML/AI systems, preferably in healthcare or regulated domains
- Expertise in training and post-training large language models using PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Deep knowledge of modern ML techniques including transformers and optimization
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven collaboration with product teams to guide research and deliver impactful prototypes
Responsibilities
- Lead development of novel generative AI applications including empathetic conversational agents and therapy-matching algorithms
- Collaborate with engineering to build and launch a 0:1 product vision
- Advance AI applications in behavioral health through rigorous research-based innovation
- Translate cutting-edge research into prototypes and product features guiding hypothesis-driven experiments
- Post-train large language models on de-identified clinical and engagement data using structured and unstructured inputs
- Define research methodologies and safety frameworks for responsible AI use in healthcare
- Work closely with product, clinical, and engineering teams to iterate on AI research in production
- Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and transparent results-sharing
Education
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) preferred
- Background in machine learning, AI, computer science or related field
