About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished litigation attorney with significant experience handling complex intellectual property disputes to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP litigation and additional knowledge of commercial and employment disputes to provide well-rounded legal support. This role requires a highly skilled litigator with top-tier training, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate sophisticated legal issues with sound judgment and practical solutions. Experience in the SaaS industry and with software licensing matters is highly preferred.

This position is 100% remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex IP litigation matters, including strategy development, discovery, motions practice, hearings, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments on intellectual property disputes, licensing issues, SaaS agreements, and related commercial and employment matters.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage litigation effectively and align strategies with business objectives.
• Draft and review high-stakes legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, licensing contracts, and SaaS agreements.
• Apply strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills to deliver business-oriented solutions under tight deadlines.
• Monitor and advise on emerging legal and regulatory developments in intellectual property, SaaS, and licensing, assessing potential business impact.
• Collaborate across technical, legal, and business teams, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state, in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on complex IP disputes.
• Trained at a top-tier law firm or leading boutique litigation firm.
• Knowledge of commercial and employment litigation to support cross-disciplinary matters.
• Experience with SaaS contracts and licensing matters preferred.
