As a leader within the Consumer Data Organization, you are responsible for the strategic vision and operationalization of audience intelligence. You will lead the transition from traditional "reporting" to a predictive, identity-centric insights engine. Your goal is to ensure that Yahoo’s 900M+ monthly active users are understood with such precision that Product, Engineering, and Sales can deliver hyper-personalized experiences and high-yield advertising solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Identity: Lead the strategy for Yahoo’s first-party data assets. You will define how the CDO captures, cleans, and utilizes audience signals to build a 360-degree view of the customer.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary insights partner for GMs across News, Sports, Finance, and Mail. You will act as the "voice of the consumer" in high-stakes product roadmap discussions.
Predictive Modeling Oversight: Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to build "Lookalike" and "Propensity" models that predict user behavior, churn, and high-value actions.
Privacy & Compliance: Ensure all audience insights initiatives are "Privacy-by-Design," adhering to global regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and Yahoo’s internal security standards (The Paranoids).
Executive Influence: Transform massive datasets into high-level narratives for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). You are expected to answer "What is the commercial value of our audience today vs. 12 months from now?"
Vendor & Budget Management: Manage large-scale partnerships with external data providers (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, MRI) and internal cloud infrastructure budgets.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 12+ years in data-driven insights, business intelligence, or product analytics.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Identity Resolution, the Post-Cookie landscape, and First-Party Data monetization.
Technical Literacy: Fluency in SQL, Python, or R is expected, along with deep experience in Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar modern data stacks.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing "manager-level" direct reports and leading large, remote-first teams.
