Job Summary

Join Yahoo's Consumer Monetization Platform team as an AI Engineer to help build and deploy our groundbreaking Agentic AI Ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in developing intelligent AI agents that automate revenue operations, provide proactive insights, and enable real-time optimization across our multi-billion dollar annual revenue platform. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies while directly impacting Yahoo's monetization success across Yahoo Homepage, Sports, Finance, News, and AOL properties.

About the Team

The Consumer Monetization Platform drives billions in annual revenue across direct, indirect, and native channels. Our team is building the next generation of AI-powered monetization tools, including specialized AI agents for sales optimization, yield management, anomaly detection, and revenue intelligence. You'll be part of a forward-thinking organization that's transforming how digital advertising operates at a massive scale.

What You'll Do

AI Agent Development

• Design and implement specialized AI agents within our multi-agent ecosystem, including Sales Insight Agent, Deal Optimization Agent, and Anomaly Detection Agent

• Build intelligent automation systems that reduce manual sales prep time per pitch

• Develop real-time anomaly detection systems that protect revenue by identifying issues before they impact performance

• Create AI-powered yield optimization agents that continuously adjust pricing and delivery strategies

Machine Learning & Data Intelligence

• Build ML models for predictive targeting, audience segmentation, and revenue forecasting using Yahoo's petabyte-scale data infrastructure

• Implement NLP and conversational AI capabilities for knowledge retrieval and sales material generation

• Develop recommendation systems for cross-sell/upsell opportunities and deal optimization

• Create AI-powered analytics and visualization systems that convert complex data into actionable insights

Platform Integration

• Integrate AI agents with Yahoo's existing tech stack including BigQuery, Salesforce CRM, and ad serving platforms

• Work with first-party data from Yahoo's ecosystem (Mail, Search, Sports, Finance) to power AI-driven insights

• Collaborate with the broader engineering team to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of AI systems

• Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to measure AI agent performance and business impact

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner with data scientists, product managers, and sales teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI solutions

• Participate in the full AI development lifecycle from research and prototyping to production deployment

• Contribute to the Agent Space framework that enables collaborative AI agent interactions

• Stay current with latest AI/ML research and identify opportunities to enhance monetization capabilities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related technical field

• 0-2 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, software development, or related roles

• Recent graduates with relevant internship experience or substantial AI/ML project work are encouraged to apply

• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or similar)

• Experience with large language models (LLMs), natural language processing, and conversational AI through coursework, projects, or internships

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions)

• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and deployment

• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using pandas, numpy, or similar libraries

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agent-based systems, multi-agent architectures, or autonomous AI systems

• Knowledge of advertising technology, programmatic advertising, or digital marketing

• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming systems (Kafka, Spark Streaming)

• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring

• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks

• Background in recommendation systems, predictive analytics, or revenue optimization

• Understanding of SQL and experience working with large-scale databases

Technical Skills

• Programming: Python (required), SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript (nice to have)

• AI/ML: TensorFlow/PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes

• Data: BigQuery, Spark, pandas, data pipeline development

• Tools: Git, CI/CD, monitoring and logging systems

The compensation for this position ranges from $88,500.00 - $184,375.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
