Oregon State Hospital (OSH), a division of the Oregon Health Authority, is seeking dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to provide compassionate, patient-centered mental health care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. OSH is a Joint Commission-accredited and CMS-certified public psychiatric hospital with campuses in Salem and Junction City. We provide psychiatric hospital and residential treatment services to individuals committed by the Oregon courts as part of the state mental health system. Our staff play an essential role in achieving the hospital’s vision: to inspire hope, promote safety, and support recovery for all.
What You Will Do
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with complex behavioral health needs
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner scope of practice
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams (IDTs) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused care to promote stabilization and rehabilitation
Provide consultation to colleagues and participate in care planning to support safe, effective treatment outcomes
Contribute to the hospital’s mission through direct patient care, clinical leadership, and ongoing professional development

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a current Oregon Nurse Practitioner license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing; AND
A current Prescriptive Authority Certification within the Oregon APRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%. Review the Classification and Compensation page for more details on the classification.
