You are a highly organized and detail-oriented inventory professional who has experience in all aspects of processing inventory-related transactions, preferably with high-growth, product-based companies. You have a strong background in hands-on inventory control, are comfortable using various reporting platforms, and thrive in environments where structure is being built from the ground up. You are a strategic thinker who can identify solutions to issues while bringing solutions to fruition by working across the organization, collaborating with others, and ensuring execution through direct, hands-on involvement in any required change efforts.
The Task At Hand:
The Inventory Specialist reports to the Inventory Supervisor, processing daily inventory transactions from various business partners and assisting with expediting the month-end close processes. This role possesses a strong understanding of how inventory transactions are processed. The incumbent must understand the financial impact of the transactions. The Inventory Specialist interacts effectively with all levels of management across all functional areas.
In This Role, You Will:
• Assist with processing consumption and production of inventory for various co-manufacturers
• Investigate variances discovered through the book-to-book process
• Assist with analyzing usage variances for work orders
• Help with closing work orders every week
• Overseeing transactions for the co-manufacturer in the automation platform
• Assist with setting up new items and BOM setup, and standard cost setup
• Maintain accurate inventory reports and dashboards to support supply planning, procurement, and logistics teams
• Collaborate with co-manufacturers to reconcile inventory data, confirm production usage
• Assist with accounting policies and procedures and the effectiveness of internal controls
• Support system implementations, where applicable
• Supporting other activities, projects as assigned or dictated by business priorities
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related financial field is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations in a CPG or food-related environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
• Proactive and hands-on, with a problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
• Organized and able to prioritize in accordance with company requirements and compliance standards
• Capability to drill down and investigate, and determine opportunities to improve departmental efficiencies through process design and effective use of automation
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, required
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter
• Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet
• Desire to contribute to a dynamic, high-growth, purpose-driven work environment
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment
• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Finance preferred
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Compensation:
• Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $71,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
