The Autonomous Vehicles (AV) team is searching for a highly motivated, highly technical Product Manager to define and build the future of NVIDIA's self-driving software, enabling features ranging from driver assistance all the way to true hands-off, mind-off autonomous driving. In this role, you will be responsible for core components of Nvidia's autonomous vehicle software (e.g., AI based planners, perception networks, fusion, and more). You will need to deeply understand the technical aspects of the component and how they relate to overall driving experience, identifying the "right problems" for teams to work on. From there, you will work with leading experts to design, prioritize and deliver solutions for these problems. Ultimately you will lead teams in defining and delivering against technology product roadmaps and making the future of self driving vehicles a reality.
What you'll be doing:
Work collaboratively with other technical product managers and technical leads to understand the sophisticated self-driving problems we are solving, and to break down these problems into a solution with prioritized requirements.
Interact directly with engineering leaders to convert those requirements into industry-competitive roadmaps enabling our entire system to achieve end to end goals.
Coordinate and collaborate with teams and internal customers to deliver those roadmaps: communicate and resolve bottlenecks, address issues, and measure outcomes.
Develop a deep technical understanding of the entire stack to proactively identify areas of improvement and investment, influencing technical direction
What we need to see:
Strong technical skills, including experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related projects which involve heavily matrixed sophisticated systems
Driven, hands on, leader with strong skills in communication, influencing, and multi-functional team building across time zones
Creative problem solver who can handle ambiguous situations, reach consensus, and make decisions
Ability to think creatively, propose solutions, and resolve development issues and constraints
Execution focus, with experience bringing new and innovative products and technologies into reality
12+ years of recent Product or Program Management experience
BS/MS Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Relevant domain knowledge/experience (Autonomous Driving, Robotics, ML based planning stacks, perception models, fusion or mapping technology)
Experience in a fast-paced AI company or Autonomous Vehicle company
Proven technical background in a related field, such as experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, ML engineer, or similar
Showing you always strive to learn new things, are motivated to solve hard problems, and that you care about the end product
