NVIDIA is looking for a Sr. Commodity Manager to join our Global Commodity Management Group. Ideal candidate will own strategic sourcing and commodity management of Thermal, Mechanical and Packaging in Boards and Systems Supply Chain Group. This position develops, directs, and influences the global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) is a critical part of NVIDIA product development process and is responsible for formulating, communicating and carrying out the Thermal/Mechanical/Packaging commodity sourcing strategy. The GCM must establish strong internal relationships with NVIDIA cross functional teams. Responsibilities include:
Build cross-functional alignment with Hardware, GTM and Industrial Design engineering to identify commodity sourcing strategies with the supply base capable of meeting NVIDIA business segment requirements for Boards and System Supply Chain.
Develop and handle supplier relationships and conduct business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmaps
Negotiate Master Service Agreement, cost reduction strategies and maintain lead-time, cost systems and split of business decisions
Accountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that increase flexibility and minimize liabilities
Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.
Resolve impediments to production readiness and to support in execution during production
Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on SOL (Speed of Light) project schedules
Concentrated effort in NPI to achieve industry leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, alternative suppliers, qualify new suppliers, be responsible for the RFQ process, and drive supplier selection in partnership with Engineering
What we need to see:
BS in Business, Mechanical, Thermal Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Packaging Engineering or equivalent experience. MBA Preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years experience in global commodity management and consistent record in running Thermal/Mechanical Supply Base
Deep understanding of Thermal/Mechanical technology, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers and supply landscape
Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations, supplier performance measurement system
Strong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection and supply/demand analysis
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives
High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment
Technical experience to compliment strong program management skills is a plus

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD for Level 4, and 192,000 USD - 304,750 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
