About the Opportunity
Summary:
Assist with coaching strategies, particularly related to offensive planning and specific defensive development, to maintain a highly competitive Division I baseball program; develop training drills; manage data analysis, video and team game planning, coordinate with marketing and promotions, operational services, equipment manager and compliance staff on behalf of baseball; assist with all recruiting visits; evaluate, visit and recommend prospective student-athletes for the program; assist with fund-raising activities and complete other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach. Assist with daily practice routines and individual development plans, help with summer baseball placement, direct and grow summer and prospect camps.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the creation and implementation of effective practice and game strategies.
Successfully identify high-level prospective student-athletes who demonstrate a fit with Northeastern University.
Assist with all technology needs including data analysis, video, team game planning and individual player development
Assist with all offensive planning, along with specific defensive development
Successfully direct and grow summer youth camps, summer prospect days and winter prospect clinics.
Assist head coach with successfully completing daily administrative tasks, correspondence, database management and fund-raising efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of two years of coaching experience preferably with a Division I program. Collegiate or professional playing experiences preferred. Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and NCAA regulations required. Previous experience with budgeting procedures, Strong communication skills and good management skills required. Traveling with team and working evenings as well as weekends is required.
