Job Description

Shift: 1st shift

Days of Work: Monday – Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: On-site (North Mankato, MN)

Starting Salary: $68,490 to $92,462 Annually

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

Design generators, motors, and/or associated control/protective systems for commercial, industrial, and/or military applications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision of more senior level Engineers:

  • Assists with design of rotating electrical equipment using various LSNA design programs.

  • Communicates with Sales team to support custom quoting and answer customer inquiries (internal and external)

  • Review and identify critical components within industry standards and customer specific requirements with regard to machine design and KATO manufacturing practices

  • Prescribe, interpret, and analyze test results and formulate remedial measures as required

  • Participate in supporting applicable manufacturing and testing systems

  • Support various other activities as directed by management

Experience/Skills:

• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of electrical power fundamentals, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and oral communication skills. 

• Must be a US Citizen for positions at the North Mankato facility.

Education:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar technical science field) required.
