Skills
- Strong Java web application development (server-side) using Spring, Hibernate and REST
- Server-side testing with JUnit and Mockito/EasyMock and experience with TDD
- Familiarity with web frameworks and frontend tech (Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Jenkins) and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
- Experience with end-to-end testing tools (Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright) is a plus
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and working in cross-functional teams
- Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) into workflows
- Exposure to AWS/cloud environments is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and implement server-side components that meet business requirements and architectural standards
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests according to organizational standards
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing applications; work with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Create technical designs and models for assigned components
- Drive and contribute to technical and architectural decisions across the team
- Review peer design and code; mentor and coach team members to improve performance
- Collaborate with Scrum teams and stakeholders to influence decision making and support projects
- Advance Agile practices within the organization and participate in backlog refinement and ceremonies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (minimum)
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
