Nelnet is seeking an IT Software Engineer to develop enterprise software solutions and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, with the opportunity for a hybrid work environment.
 Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include participating in solution design, translating business requirements into technical specifications, adhering to best practices, and providing post-implementation support.
 Skills: Required skills include strong relational database knowledge, experience in the full software development lifecycle, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and proficiency in Microsoft .NET frameworks and SQL Server.
 Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, a minimum of 3 years of software development experience, and ability to obtain security clearance.
 Location: This position is based in Madison, WI with a hybrid work model that includes both in-office and remote work for local associates.
 Compensation: $90000 - $130000 / Annually

Responsible for developing enterprise wide cross-functional software solutions, working closely with IT Software Architects and IT Business Analysts technical teams.
Nelnet believes in a hybrid work environment that accommodates both in-office and remote work. The standard hybrid work schedule includes 24 hours of in-office work each week, for associates that reside within 30 miles of an office. This is subject to change, based on manager discretion.

Annual compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or a related field or work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with strong skills in at least one key competency.

This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”). As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance.
