NMSI is seeking a passionate, experienced K-12 educator to join their team as an Instructional Coach to support teachers and enhance student achievement in Math, Science, and English through professional development and curriculum development activities.
Responsibilities: Deliver professional development for teachers, develop curricular materials, promote culturally responsive learning environments, and facilitate training events in both online and in-person settings.
Skills: Deep knowledge of K-12 content and instructional standards, strong communication skills, flexibility to work in varying environments, and a growth mindset.
Qualifications: At least four years of teaching experience with a strong understanding of effective pedagogy, technology proficiency in online learning platforms, and a commitment to enhancing student achievement in high-need populations.

NMSI Coaches are passionate educators who strive to learn from others, enjoy supporting teachers, and work to build more equitable opportunities for students in their school communities. NMSI Coaches support our core programs which include the College Readiness Program (Grades 9-12 AP Teachers and AP Students), Laying the Foundation (K-12 Teachers), and Leadership Development (K-12 school and district leaders), by delivering professional development for teachers or content support for students.

The minimum hourly rate for this position will be at least $30/hour. We take pay equity seriously and work hard to ensure our team members are paid fairly no matter their gender, race, or other demographic backgrounds. Part-time staff are eligible to participate in 401(k) after 90 days of employment, with up to a 6% employee match, fully vested on day one of participation in the plan. NMSI Coaches are provided ongoing opportunities to continue their professional learning through participation in our Coach Development Pathways.
