Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 per year
Position Overview
Are you a detail-oriented engineer ready to take ownership of a critical maintenance management system?
A leading specialty metals manufacturer is seeking a CMMS Coordinator to oversee its computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) and ensure work orders, preventive maintenance, and compliance processes are optimized.
In this role, you’ll be the bridge between plant maintenance operations and corporate engineering, driving system improvements, monitoring KPIs, and supporting special projects. This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer with strong organizational skills and industrial experience to influence maintenance reliability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage the CMMS system under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Corporate Engineer.
Coordinate entry of new preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) tasks.
Review actual vs. planned hours on completed work orders to identify improvements.
Monitor progress of PMs and CMs and provide updates to leadership.
Maintain the integrity of the PM program (checklists, triggers, frequencies, compliance).
Analyze work orders for completeness and accuracy.
Manage the MRO inventory clerk and related functions.
Track and report maintenance KPIs for departmental performance.
Support special initiative projects assigned by corporate engineering.
Travel occasionally to other sites to share best practices and improve CMMS usage.
Create and update guidance documents to support efficient CMMS use.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience with IBM Maximo EAM strongly preferred.
Technical writing skills with ability to document and standardize processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
