Position Overview
Are you an experienced project engineer who excels at managing large-scale capital initiatives from concept to completion?
A leading specialty metals manufacturer is seeking a Corporate Capital Projects Engineer to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of major capital projects across its U.S. facilities.
In this role, you’ll lead complex engineering initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety. Working under the direction of the Corporate Engineer, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and engineering firms to deliver projects on time and within budget—driving long-term value across the company’s advanced manufacturing operations.
About the Facility
This operation serves as the corporate headquarters and a core production site for a global leader in specialty steel and alloy manufacturing. The facility produces high-performance materials through advanced melting, refining, and finishing processes that support critical industries such as aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, and heavy equipment.
As part of an international specialty metals group, the Bridgeville site plays a central role in capital investment, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives—providing state-of-the-art engineering and production leadership across the company’s North American operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Proven experience managing capital projects including scope, schedule, budget, and risk assessments.
Strong background in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to travel to all company sites to support project execution and engineering collaboration.
Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage capital projects from concept through execution and closeout.
Develop comprehensive capital project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk identification.
Direct contractors and coordinate with engineering firms and vendors throughout project lifecycles.
Manage new equipment installations and oversee modifications or upgrades to existing systems.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
Collaborate with site and corporate leadership to align projects with strategic business goals.
Develop and implement engineering processes, policies, and procedures to improve performance and standardization.
Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Regularly travel to company facilities to support on-site capital project activities and engineering initiatives.
