Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and optimize lab spaces and workflows in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage inventory of tools, equipment, chemicals, and consumables and implement inventory control systems.
- Provide hands-on prototyping support: build prototypes, set up test stations, and run experiments.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of prototyping equipment (3D printers, CNCs, laser cutters, hand and power tools).
- Implement and enforce lab safety, cleanliness, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Train lab users on equipment, procedures, and organizational systems.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines and production schedules.
- Continuously improve lab capabilities by evaluating and integrating new technologies and processes.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in engineering/technical field preferred
- Relevant vocational training or hands-on lab experience accepted in lieu of formal degree
