Skills
- 3+ years professional software development experience
- Experience building microservices and distributed systems
- Proficiency or familiarity with modern backend languages (Ruby, Go, Kotlin/Java)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra)
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native patterns
- Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, observable APIs and backend services for internal and external consumers.
- Develop platform components with a focus on reliability, long-term maintainability, and reduced technical debt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, SRE) to deliver features and meet SLAs.
- Work on AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment automation for platform services.
- Mentor and learn from teammates to foster engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity and code quality.
Education
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
- Or equivalent practical software engineering experience
