The growth team works across the entire app to drive user activation and revenue growth through rapid experimentation and data-driven engineering. We build features that convert visitors into active users and help customers see the value of our application. We are a small versatile team that prioritizes shipping quickly and learning from our experiments.
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to take significant ownership of features that help customers adopt Monte Carlo's observability platform and get the most value with our consumption-based pricing model. The role will involve end-to-end development, from helping formulate customer requirements and designs to full production implementation. You will collaborate with a small team of seasoned engineers, and your work will greatly impact our product, revenue, and customers.
Own projects from inception to deployment, take on more responsibility with fewer rules, and act like an owner.
Working with the product team and other stakeholders to identify and iteratively deliver value to customers.
Lay a great web foundation for other engineers to build on, helping them move fast (e.g., through reusable components) and with high quality (e.g., applying design patterns and principles, increasing test coverage).
Improve our tooling for shipping experiments quickly and building our customer analytics capabilities
Navigate with some ambiguity while solving problems creatively from the ground up and tenaciously pursuing solutions to difficult challenges.
You have 7+ years of experience delivering production-grade frontend code, performing code reviews, and working on full-stack application design and architecture.
3+ years of recent React experience.
Strong JavaScript and Typescript skills and experience developing with React framework on a large, complex codebase.
Experience with testing frameworks such as react-testing-library, playwright, or Cypress is required.
Experience tech-leading critical projects or initiatives within your team and organization.
You are ready to thrive, communicate with your team, and collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment
You're product-minded and user-driven
You're pragmatic and biased towards action; you're able to see the bigger picture and reason about prioritization and scope
Experience with GraphQL and/or API design
Some experience with full-stack frameworks and database systems
Some experience with AWS or other Cloud infrastructure
