Mirantis is seeking a Senior Product Manager to take full ownership of go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution for k0rdent Enterprise — our enterprise-grade, open-source-based Distributed Container Management Platform designed for platform engineering teams.
k0rdent Enterprise enables organizations to tame Kubernetes sprawl, standardize service delivery, and operate secure, composable Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) across hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments — with advanced observability, FinOps, and security features.
This role requires a unique blend of deep cloud infrastructure expertise and GTM leadership. You’ll need to be equally comfortable defining product strategy with engineering, building positioning and messaging with marketing, and enabling sales teams to win in competitive deals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical fluency in Kubernetes, platform engineering, and enterprise IT infrastructure, coupled with a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to market impact.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Execution
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for k0rdent Enterprise, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market opportunities in platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE personas .
Drive requirements for enterprise-grade features including multi-cluster orchestration, policy-driven automation, observability/FinOps, service templates, and enterprise security .
Translate customer and market insights into actionable product features and prioritized release plans.
Partner closely with engineering to ensure timely delivery, high quality, and scalability of new capabilities.
Go-to-Market Leadership
Develop compelling positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation for k0rdent Enterprise across key use cases:
Multi-cloud/multi-cluster platform engineering
Internal Developer Platform (IDP) delivery
AI/ML workload orchestration
Regulated/air-gapped deployments
Work closely with Product Marketing to enable the field with sales playbooks, competitive battlecards, ROI models, technical whitepapers, and migration guides.
Partner with sales and alliances to identify strategic accounts, influence deals, and support customer engagements from discovery to close.
Lead product launches, coordinate cross-functional GTM plans, and track launch success metrics.
Customer & Market Insight
Engage directly with platform engineers, DevOps teams, and SREs to understand pain points, workflows, and decision drivers .
Monitor the evolving competitive landscape — including proprietary PaaS, Kubernetes management platforms, and open-source alternatives — to inform product positioning and roadmap .
Identify emerging trends in AI/ML infrastructure, cloud-native observability, FinOps, and Kubernetes-native automation that can be leveraged to enhance k0rdent Enterprise.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work with engineering and design to ensure usability, scalability, and enterprise-grade security.
Align roadmap priorities with Mirantis’ partner ecosystem, including hardware vendors, AI/ML tooling providers, and open-source communities .
Champion the voice of the customer across the organization, ensuring our solutions solve real-world enterprise challenges.
7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, or platform engineering.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes, multi-cloud environments, and IDP concepts — ideally with hands-on experience in platform orchestration and multi-cluster management.
Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering personas and their operational challenges .
Proven track record in GTM strategy, positioning, and enterprise product launches.
Strong technical fluency in cloud networking, storage, security, observability, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills — able to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority, driving consensus, and delivering measurable business results.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU orchestration, or AI application deployment.
Knowledge of Cluster API, GitOps, and Kubernetes-native policy enforcement.
Familiarity with competitive offerings from Red Hat, VMware, Rancher, SpectroCloud, Rafay, and hyperscaler platforms.
