- Proven alliance and external engagement leadership in Medical Affairs or related biopharma functions.
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset with ability to translate external insights into medical strategies.
- Experience designing and executing advisory boards, guideline strategies, and publication plans.
- Deep understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks for scientific exchange.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills across matrixed environments.
- Experience managing grants, sponsorships, and society partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Forge, manage, and evaluate strategic partnerships with academic investigators, clinical networks, societies, and patient advocacy organizations.
- Design and implement an integrated external engagement roadmap aligned with Medical Affairs and corporate objectives.
- Lead KOL, DOL, and academic consortia collaborations to generate scientific insights and real-world evidence.
- Serve as lead for guideline and compendia inclusion strategy, coordinating evidence generation and publication planning.
- Plan and execute scientific advisory boards (virtual and in-person) with clear objectives and post-meeting action plans.
- Oversee medical grants, sponsorships, and external funding processes ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Develop and maintain strategic society engagement and sponsorship plans tied to congress strategy and data dissemination.
- Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Development, R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, HEOR, and Scientific Communications.
- Establish SOPs and best practices to ensure compliant, ethical external interactions consistent with regulations and PhRMA standards.
- Measure and report KPIs for external engagement and alliance activities.
Education
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
