Vice President, Market Access

MindMed is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel treatments for brain health disorders. The Vice President of Market Access will lead strategy and execution to secure formulary placement, reimbursement, and patient access for MM120 and future pipeline products, building scalable access models and cross-functional partnerships in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Pricing strategy and contracting with payers/PBMs/GPOs
  • Government pricing and regulatory reporting (AMP, ASP, Medicaid/Medicare, 340B)
  • Hub services and specialty pharmacy distribution knowledge
  • Experience with REMS alignment and compliance
  • Familiarity with DEA rescheduling processes for controlled substances
  • Strong payer engagement and negotiation skills
  • Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
  • Startup or high-growth commercialization experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategy across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers
  • Establish and manage trade and distribution relationships with 3PLs, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies
  • Design and oversee patient-centric hub service model focused on adherence and affordability
  • Ensure government pricing compliance and accurate reporting (ASP, AMP, Medicaid/Medicare rebates, 340B)
  • Lead gross-to-net (GTN) forecasting and analysis to inform pricing and contracting
  • Develop pricing models and negotiate contracts with payers, PBMs, and GPOs
  • Drive field execution and collaborate with commercial and medical teams for pull-through
  • Align market access strategies with REMS requirements and engage regulatory partners
  • Navigate DEA rescheduling considerations and regulatory complexities where applicable
  • Champion equitable patient access through innovative reimbursement and support programs
  • Build, mentor, and scale a lean market access team for a startup environment
  • Cultivate payer, PBM, advocacy, and industry relationships to support market entry

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field (required)
  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred
