Secretaries and Administrative Assistants

Location: Remote (U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia)

Pay: $15–$35/hour

Commitment: Hourly

We are looking for a Secretary and Administrative Assistant to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.

Your expertise in scheduling, document preparation, office coordination, and cross-team communication will ensure each prompt and response reflects real-world administrative support practices across departments. You’ll help shape how AI understands email etiquette, calendar management, internal workflows, and general office procedures used in corporate, nonprofit, and educational environments.


You are a good fit if you:


  • Have over 3+ years of professional experience in general administrative support or office coordination
  • Have a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in business administration, communications, or related field
  • Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK or the Australia
  • Have a strong background in areas such as managing calendars and meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, filing and maintaining records, supporting team logistics, responding to internal requests, and facilitating communication between departments
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong attention to details


Role Highlights:


  • Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours
  • Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule
  • Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension


Role Start Date:


  • This role will begin in mid to late-July with applications reviewed on a rolling basis


Interview Process:


  • You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in office administration, documentation, and workplace coordination
  • You will share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about an administrative scenario
  • You will evaluate and compare LLM outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate
  • Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the accuracy and quality of their evaluations


Compensation and Legal Details:


  • You will be legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
  • We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect
