Responsibilities: After comprehensive training, responsibilities include building product knowledge, researching use cases, translating research into content, demonstrating workflows, and leading process improvements.
Skills: Strong writing skills, proficiency in programming, excellent communication and planning capabilities, with a bonus for experience in MATLAB and C/C++.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Location: Natick, US; hybrid work model allows flexibility between office and home.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $60,000 - $85,000.

Engineering Technical Writers at MathWorks develop content that helps users solve engineering challenges. We are members of product teams that include engineering, quality, marketing, and user experience staff. We share a common goal: to develop leading scientific and engineering software to develop algorithms, model systems, and deploy software.
A successful candidate begins their career in the Engineering Development Group (EDG). As a member of the EDG team, you receive training on MathWorks processes, tools, and customer use cases in core product areas. You also receive technical writing training and coaching before transitioning to the engineering technical writer role.
