Sr. Manager, DevOps and AWS Infrastructure
Skills
- 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure or related engineering roles.
- 5+ years architecting, scaling, and operating production systems on AWS.
- 3+ years of team management or technical leadership experience.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform and CloudFormation for IaC.
- Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Kafka/MSK and Airflow for streaming and workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with Keycloak or similar IAM/SSO solutions.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and AWS security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and career development for direct reports and outsourced contributors.
- Design, implement, and optimize AWS infrastructure for global scalability, high availability, and security.
- Deliver and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Own and evolve orchestration and platform engineering capabilities to enable teams to run services reliably at scale.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
- Manage and optimize event-driven and data-processing systems (Kafka/MSK, Kinesis, Airflow).
- Implement and maintain identity and access management solutions (Keycloak or equivalent).
- Create self-service automation frameworks to enable product teams to deploy and operate independently.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and self-healing systems to improve reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement in performance, cost efficiency, resilience, and platform maturity.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- Equivalent professional experience is considered in lieu of degree.
