GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Engineer II, Product is responsible for leading and assisting with activities involving Loram products, including all technical aspects of the products from conceptual design through validation. This role assists the Chief Engineering department to develop, market, and support Loram products. This role is also responsible for supporting and developing equipment design and generating equipment proposals of low to moderate complexity under the direction of a senior engineer or Chief Engineer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering.
Experience: 3+ years of experience supporting development of equipment design and generating equipment proposals.
Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 3+ years' experience with Heavy Equipment Design and product line development with multi-discipline engineering integration. Experience with proposal generation, project scoping and definition, cost estimation. Experience directing individual or small teams of engineers and designers.
Licenses/Certification: Six Sigma Yellow Belt and/or EIT
