Responsibilities
- Develop and execute government affairs strategy focused on national security space policy, acquisition reform, and funding.
- Monitor, analyze, and influence legislation, policy, and regulatory initiatives impacting defense space and commercial integration.
- Serve as primary interface to Congress (e.g., SASC, HASC, appropriations), DoD DMV offices, and IC elements; cultivate trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Advocate for Loft Federal capabilities in new program starts, RDT&E, and acquisition pathways and represent the company at industry and government forums.
- Provide strategic guidance to capture, engineering, and executive teams to align technical capabilities with DoD/IC mission needs.
- Review appropriations and legislative language (CBJB, R-Forms, P-Forms, NDAA) to identify opportunities and inform executive decision-making.
- Support proposal positioning by translating policy and funding insights into actionable business strategies.
- Coordinate with security, legal, and compliance to ensure adherence to ITAR, FOCI mitigation protocols, and classified engagement requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, international affairs, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced degree (MPA, MA, JD) preferred but not required.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance (required).
