THE JOB

We’re searching for a high-energy Lead Associate to be the operational force behind our Retail success in an exciting music venue environment. This candidate will drive results by managing seamless opening and closing procedures, floor shifts, and maintain operational excellence while ensuring budget accountability by meeting sales goals. As a Leader, this candidate will be responsible for supervision and development of the Team, delivering excellence in customer service, execute creative visual merchandising displays, and effectively process new merchandise. This role requires attention to detail, demonstrated by strong communication of key performance insights via nightly recaps. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

I.  Financial Performance: Budget Accountability

  • Responsible for reviewing Sales Goals and driving top line sales
  • Participation in Inventory Practices
  • Revenue & Labor Reports via nightly recaps

II.  Supervision and Development of Department

  • Ensure positive and creative team environment within the department
  • Facilitate open communication with the supervisors and staff
  • Assure complete and satisfactory on-going staff training
  • Develop incentives for staff to generate sales and boost morale
  • Complete weekly staff contact logs

III.  Store Operations

  • Allocate proper staffing per shift based against revenue target and operational activities
  • Assist and support retail staff in any of their job functions, as needed
  • Fulfill or delegate the following tasks:
  • Accurate shift/register checkouts
  • Enter comps and voids
  • Report damaged merchandise
  • Review stock levels, correct pricing, and request markdowns as necessary
  • Maintain necessary sales floor and stockroom organization and cleanliness
  • Efficiently follow opening and closing procedures

IV.  Fulfill Customer Service Expectations

  • Must demonstrate superior customer service techniques and serve as a role model to entire staff
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective selling and upselling techniques
  • Ensure that staff is adhering to GUEST acronym in their sales approach

V.  Visual Merchandising

  • Responsible for attractive display appearance based on merchandising guidelines
  • Change displays frequently (weekly) to keep store looking original and fresh

VI.  Other Administrative Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments and submit report vendor discrepancy to Management/ non-compliance forms based on receiving & stockroom guidelines 
  • Assist with physical inventory counts at period end per manual guidelines

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous Cash Handling experience
  • Three years of retail experience with two years supervisory experience

Preferred:

  • College degree in business, marketing or related field

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Regular lifting, bending, stooping and stretching as required to receive shipments and facilitate merchandise and display movement
  • Working environment is fast-paced
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
