Job Description

This role will be based in SF, Chicago, or NYC.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

Role Overview

At LinkedIn, we empower professionals worldwide to achieve more. Every day, millions of people rely on our products to connect, discover opportunities, and gain actionable insights. The Insights Program Manager role is pivotal in delivering scalable, data-driven solutions that drive LinkedIn’s success and enable customers to unlock value through our products within the Talent Solutions business.

These roles sit at the unique intersection of LinkedIn product expertise, proprietary dataset ownership, and alignment with go-to-market strategies. They blend technical program management, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership to produce insights and strategies built on trust and innovation.

About the Role

As an Insights Program Manager, you will lead the technical and strategic development of insights programs, ensuring the insights and recommendations you deliver meet high standards of quality, reliability, and scalability. From writing and reviewing sophisticated code to guiding strategic narratives, you will translate LinkedIn’s data into actionable insights that influence decisions across product, marketing, and sales.

Your efforts will also advance automation and AI-driven workflows (e.g., Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and data pipeline integration), optimize the creation of scalable insights tools, and enhance LinkedIn’s ability to solve customer challenges and elevate the value proposition of our Talent Solutions portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Data-Driven Insights Development

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s proprietary datasets to design and deliver impactful, scalable insights that align with product and marketing strategies addressing customer pain points and value propositions.

  • Write, review, and optimize code (SQL, Python, Spark SQL) to extract, process, and analyze data.

  • Oversee and maintain automated data pipelines and multiproduct workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, HDFS, and internal platforms.

  • Integrate GenAI and LLM-based solutions (e.g., prompt engineering, summarization, and categorization) into insights pipelines for improved efficiency and scalability.

• Collaboration and Alignment

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Data Science, to refine messaging and enhance customer value delivery anchored in data.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, guiding the adoption of actionable, AI-enabled insights and ensuring program alignment with go-to-market priorities.

  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships, serving as a technical and strategic advisor for internal and external partners on program strategy

• Insights Strategy and Vision

  • Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for your programs.

  • Identify gaps in existing tools and GTM motions, prioritize opportunities, and drive alignment on strategic initiatives.

  • Own end-to-end delivery of cross-functional programs such as campaign experimentation, actionable insights for driving product adoption, and thought leadership, balancing business goals with data and technical feasibility.

  • Measure the effectiveness of Insights driven interventions across our customer and field partner touchpoints and its impact on LinkedIn’s Talent business outcomes

• Visualization and Communication

  • Develop compelling visualizations and narratives using Python, Tableau, or equivalent tools to communicate insights, synthesizing technical findings into clear business terms for executive and non-technical audiences to drive clarity and alignment.

  • Contribute to storytelling and content strategy for high-visibility initiatives, ensuring consistency with LinkedIn’s data narrative.

• Data Quality and Governance

  • Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

  • Drive standardization and best practices for insights pipeline governance, including version control (GitHub) and documentation.

  • Champion responsible AI and data privacy practices in insights development.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, experimentation, or technical program management involving the design of data pipelines and insights that drive customer and product adoption.

  • 4+ years of experience with SQL, with experience in optimizing queries for performance (Trino, Spark SQL preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience using Python (or equivalent scripting languages) to automate workflows, run experimentation (e.g., A/B testing for campaigns), generate outputs for downstream applications (such as email and AI agents), or build scalable data processes.

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure alignment and engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

  • Experience leading cross-functional AI or automation programs (e.g., LLM prompt design, model evaluation, or insights pipeline automation).

  • Experience tying product or marketing insights to measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen with a passion for technology, big data, and artificial intelligence.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs and influence without authority.

  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Suggested Skills

  • Technical Expertise: SQL and Python, with experience in Airflow and LLM/GenAI integration.

  • Program Management: Proven ability to lead multi-product initiatives with disciplined planning and cross-functional alignment.

  • Business Alignment: Deep understanding of how insights and experimentation drive product adoption, sales and marketing motions, and actionable business recommendations.

  • Collaboration: High EQ and a collaborative mindset, able to influence and partner effectively across Data Science, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.

  • Trust and Integrity: Commitment to delivering accurate, ethical, and transparent insights that stakeholders can rely on to inform strategic decisions.
