The Role
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to help build the reporting infrastructure that powers smarter, faster decisions across Jump and our professional sports clients. In this high-impact, hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with teams across the company to surface insights and develop reusable data assets. You’ll also work directly with our clients to support their reporting needs and help foster a strong data culture. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s excited to blend analytics with tool-building and ready to take on broader responsibility as they grow with the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics assets for internal teams and external partners.
Support decision-making across departments—including product, marketing, and customer success—by ensuring access to high-quality data and insights
Investigate business questions using SQL, BI tools, spreadsheets, or Python notebooks to uncover insights and inform decisions
Break down open-ended requests into actionable steps and deliver concise, actionable results
Help Jumpsters and customers explore and make sense of data on their own through training, documentation, and one-on-one support
Champion data accessibility and empower others to be confident in using analytics tools
Promote and scale a self-service analytics culture by educating stakeholders on how to explore, visualize, and draw insights from data themselves
Support new customer onboarding by creating initial reports and dashboards, and ensuring data is interpretable and valuable from day one
Help define internal data best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Interface with external vendors when needed to integrate their products into Jump’s data stack.

5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar analytical role.
Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with dbt or equivalent transformation tools.
Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Familiarity with BI tools—preferably ThoughtSpot or similar (e.g., Looker, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI).
Strong communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
A proactive, teaching mindset—you're excited to help teammates level up their own data skills.
An interest in using AI tools to support business intelligence needs
Nice-to-Have Skills
Comfort with lightweight or intermediate technical statistical analysis using tools like Python or R.
Experience supporting multiple business teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
Familiarity with modern data stacks, including Fivetran, Segment, Amplitude, and Dagster.
Prior experience in customer-facing data work (e.g., helping clients interpret their data).
Exposure to building and maintaining metric definitions or analytics documentation.
Attributes that will make you successful on our team

Empathy. You thrive in an environment where everyone can truly be themselves. You understand that our differing life experiences influence who we are and how we show up, and these diverse perspectives enrich both our team and our product.
Customer-centric mindset. You can understand the problem to be solved and who we are solving it for.
