This is a senior-level underwriting opportunity focused on complex excess casualty risks within a high-performing and collaborative commercial insurance environment. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth by underwriting and managing a diverse portfolio, ensuring strong service delivery and compliance with underwriting standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to key business objectives and broker relationships while providing analytical insights that inform pricing and product decisions. Accountabilities
· Underwrite complex commercial excess casualty risks within assigned territory and authority, ensuring adherence to state and company guidelines.
· Apply sound pricing strategies using appropriate rating methodologies and regulatory filings.
· Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as loss ratios, premium trends, and profitability indicators.
· Provide consistent, high-quality service to brokers, handling new business, renewals, and interim account servicing needs.
· Collaborate with internal departments, brokers, insureds, and marketing representatives to ensure effective and timely account management.
· Maintain detailed underwriting documentation and ensure regulatory compliance across all accounts.
· Evaluate and respond to policy forms, coverage endorsements, and special broker requests.
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
· At least 10 years of experience specifically in underwriting Excess Casualty insurance.
· Proven ability to assess complex commercial risks and develop tailored insurance solutions.
· Strong understanding of rating tools, pricing techniques, and regulatory environments.
· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with brokers and internal teams.
· Demonstrated accountability and the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
· Competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $235,000 annually, based on experience and performance.
