Accountabilities:
- Own the short-term and long-term technical vision for your engineering squad.
- Lead major technical decisions while empowering your team to contribute and innovate.
- Mentor engineers on best practices, architecture, and coding standards.
- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and provide guidance to improve quality and efficiency.
- Share technical knowledge through presentations, blog posts, or internal tech talks.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to align on priorities and requirements.
- Contribute as a hands-on individual contributor while guiding the technical strategy of your squad.
- Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and practices to drive team effectiveness.
- Equivalent of 8+ years in senior engineering roles designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers.
- 15+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET) and SQL databases.
- Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and familiarity with TypeScript and React is a plus.
- Experience with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to balance rapid development cycles with high-quality outputs.
- Proven capability to lead technical teams, influence decisions, and mentor engineers effectively.
