Sr. Java Developer (Remote - US)

We are seeking a Sr. Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, browser-based applications that integrate complex systems for federal government clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects that optimize operational efficiency and support large-scale enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and database development, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will create technical documentation, contribute to database design, and ensure coding standards are met while supporting agile development practices. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates should be U.S. citizens and able to obtain the necessary security clearance.

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain secure Java applications for federal systems integration.
• Analyze user requirements to create software solutions that optimize efficiency and performance.
• Design and manage databases individually or in coordination with a team.
• Write code following Java best practices and project-specific coding standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support project objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of professional experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Secure Java coding
• OpenShift and JBoss Enterprise Application Server
• Linux environments
• Eclipse, Git, Maven
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, ThymeLeaf
• HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript
• SQL/SQL Developer, PL/SQL
• Preferred experience with Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and Rational CLM.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
