Senior Software Engineer (USA based)

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing healthcare technology platform that simplifies billing and elevates the patient financial experience. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality features that directly impact healthcare providers and patients. You will take ownership of end-to-end development, from requirements and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement, ensuring scalability and maintainability. The position allows for hands-on influence on engineering culture, shaping best practices while working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. Your work will touch critical workflows, enhancing efficiency and financial transparency in healthcare. This role demands creativity, technical rigor, and a commitment to delivering real-world impact.

Accountabilities:

·         Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement impactful features.

·         Develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend and frontend systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

·         Own features end-to-end, ensuring observability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.

·         Contribute to architectural discussions and provide technical guidance to team members.

·         Help shape and foster an engineering culture of high-quality code, collaboration, and continuous learning.

·         Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to product strategy discussions to maximize user and business impact.

·         5+ years of experience building complex web applications.

·         Strong backend development experience, ideally in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask; experience in statically-typed languages (Go, Java, C#) is also valued.

·         Solid understanding of frontend technologies, preferably including React.

·         Familiarity with databases and caching systems, such as PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Redis.

·         Proven ability to deliver high-quality code and work collaboratively across disciplines.

·         Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving priorities.

·         Strong ownership, communication skills, and the ability to mentor and guide peers.

·         Startup experience and a passion for building products that deliver real user impact.

·         Base compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 per year.
