This role offers the opportunity to work on critical data and software infrastructure that drives insights across business, product, and finance functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain high-quality data pipelines, orchestration systems, and backend services that support key decision-making and customer experiences. The position balances technical ownership of both data engineering and software development responsibilities, allowing you to contribute to system design, architecture, and implementation. Accountabilities:

·         Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, backend services, and orchestration systems to support analytics, modeling, and business needs.

·         Create and maintain foundational datasets that are reliable, interpretable, and optimized for performance.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Data Science, Product, Finance, and Engineering to ensure data solutions meet business requirements.

·         Write and maintain technical documentation for systems you design, build, and operate.

·         Participate in team on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and monitor data hygiene.

·         Mentor peers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Collaborate with engineers across the organization to elevate system design, architecture, and overall software quality.

·         2+ years of professional experience in data and software engineering.

·         Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.) and SQL.

·         Strong debugging, technical investigation, and problem-solving skills.

·         Experience with modern data storage and transformation technologies (e.g., BigQuery, DBT, Airflow).

·         Familiarity with ETL/rETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, Census, Rudderstack).

·         Excellent technical communication and ability to collaborate effectively in asynchronous and remote environments.

·         Preferred: Python and Django ORM experience, maintaining large DBT projects, experience with Medallion Architecture, product analytics, technical writing, and mentoring engineers.

·         Competitive total target cash compensation (TTCC) ranging from $229,500 – $280,500 USD.
