Senior Product Designer (Remote - California)

We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Product Designer to join a fast-growing, mission-driven team focused on building world-class software experiences for engineers and technical users. In this role, you will design and refine complex workflows, simplify technical concepts, and create user-centered solutions that have a real impact on software security. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers to research, prototype, and implement thoughtful product experiences. This role offers the opportunity to mentor other designers, influence strategic product decisions, and help shape a growing design culture in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Accountabilities

• Rapidly prototype and test product concepts, collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver shippable solutions.
• Lead strategic decisions on product definitions and roadmaps, grounding choices in user research and insights.
• Advocate for consistent, simple, and intuitive product workflows across all products.
• Conduct hands-on user research and synthesize findings to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with other designers, providing feedback, critiques, and guidance during design reviews.
• Mentor and support other design team members, creating tools and practices to enable team-wide design quality.
• Build strong relationships across functions, involving cross-functional teams in the design process and promoting a user-centered design culture.

• 4+ years of product design experience in digital products; experience designing for engineers, B2B, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software engineering or experience designing for technical audiences.
• Experience conducting hands-on user research, including planning, recruiting, and analysis.
• Passion for simplifying complex workflows and curiosity about users and their problems.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail and rapid iteration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Remote-friendly, with willingness to travel to San Francisco or New York offices at least one week per quarter.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating AI-driven workflows or tools into product design.
• Familiarity with designing code editors, IDE integrations, or developer tools.
• Experience creating and codifying UI/UX component libraries and design systems.

• Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $230,000 (based on experience and location).
