Accountabilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and operation of the enterprise data platform across cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Design and implement scalable, modular data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.
• Champion data governance, quality assurance, and automation initiatives to ensure reliable and secure data operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, analytics, and reporting teams to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy standards including HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, and SOC-II.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with data systems to minimize disruption.
• Manage vendor relationships and advise on optimal technology stacks for the organization.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior data engineering staff.

• 10+ years of experience in data management, engineering, and operations.
• 7+ years of experience with ETL/ELT processes and real-time data streaming architecture.
• 5+ years designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong healthcare data experience, including medical/pharmacy claims, EDI transactions, and lab data.
• Proficiency with Spark, Scala, Hive SQL, Kafka, Apache NiFi, and Azure analytics tools (Power BI, lakehouses, warehouses).
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as Informatica, Profisee, or Reltio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to design and optimize data pipelines and platform architecture for scale and efficiency.
