Accountabilities:

• Translate high-level business requirements into robust backend architecture and scalable APIs.
• Own iterative development, delivering simple MVPs that evolve into production-ready systems.
• Improve and maintain backend infrastructure including automation, workflows, and data systems.
• Build frontend-friendly APIs that serve both web and mobile applications.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for smooth deployments.
• Collaborate closely within a lean, agile team focused on rapid delivery and mission alignment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical best practices across the backend stack.

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with strong backend development skills.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript; deep knowledge of the NodeJS ecosystem.
• Experience building stateless, modular, and scalable backend systems.
• Comfortable working in AWS environments and building serverless backends (preferred).
• Skilled in automated testing, debugging complex codebases, and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, team collaboration, and a proactive mindset.
• Passion for making meaningful impact through technology, especially in underappreciated industries.
• Bonus: prior leadership experience or mentoring engineers; understanding of the trucking or logistics space.
