Security Architect, AI & Cloud Platforms

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO). We are currently looking for a Security Architect, AI & Cloud Platforms in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of security practices for cutting-edge AI and cloud platforms. You will work closely with engineering, platform, and compliance teams to safeguard AI/ML systems, infrastructure, and data while ensuring secure deployment and operation. The position emphasizes hands-on security architecture, threat modeling, and vulnerability management, with a strong focus on cloud-native environments. You will influence technical strategy, guide best practices, and help build a security-first culture while addressing emerging AI-specific risks. This role provides significant scope to impact healthcare technology innovation through secure, scalable, and responsible AI applications.

Accountabilities:

·         Serve as the technical security lead embedded within engineering teams, focusing on AI/ML and cloud infrastructure security.

·         Lead threat modeling exercises for AI systems, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.

·         Define and implement security controls across the ML lifecycle, including data sourcing, model training, deployment, and inference.

·         Own and prioritize security user stories, epics, and remediation plans for engineering execution.

·         Analyze and manage vulnerabilities using modern scanning tools, providing clear risk guidance.

·         Collaborate with DevOps, ML, and product teams to secure CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and infrastructure-as-code.

·         Monitor and apply emerging AI-specific security practices to mitigate risks such as prompt injection, model inversion, and data leakage.

·         Communicate security findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·         7+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or DevSecOps.

·         Hands-on expertise in securing cloud-native infrastructure (AWS preferred).

·         Proven experience in security architecture, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure SDLC practices.

·         Strong ability to write and prioritize technical stories and remediation plans.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence engineering and product teams.

·         AI/ML security experience is highly desirable; otherwise, aptitude and willingness to quickly learn AI-specific security practices.

·         Familiarity with healthcare security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST) is a plus.

·         Nice to have: experience with MLOps, AI pipelines, red/purple teaming, adversarial input mitigation, and awareness of emerging AI regulations (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act).

·         Competitive base salary: $170,000 – $230,000, with potential bonuses and equity opportunities.
