Microsoft Systems/Data Center Engineer - Remote

As a Microsoft Systems/Data Center Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise-grade IT infrastructure. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions across storage, virtualization, and cloud environments. This position requires hands-on expertise in Microsoft technologies, hyper-converged systems, and data center architectures. You will influence system design decisions, implement complex configurations, and provide technical guidance throughout the deployment lifecycle. The role emphasizes customer engagement, technical excellence, and continuous learning in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical solutions for clients are essential for success in this position.

Accountabilities:

·         Deliver post-sales technical services, including planning, design, implementation, optimization, and documentation of customer solutions.

·         Lead final design meetings and present proposed solutions to clients.

·         Stage and deploy Microsoft technologies such as Entra, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and SharePoint M365.

·         Configure storage, compute, virtualization, and hyper-converged platforms including Cisco UCS, Nutanix, VMware vSphere, and Fibre Channel/Ethernet switching.

·         Develop project deliverables, including requirements documentation, cabling diagrams, cutover plans, resiliency test plans, and system drawings.

·         Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for customers on implemented technologies.

·         Provide regular project status updates and address customer questions and concerns.

·         Support additional technologies as needed, including Cisco HyperFlex, Pure Storage, VMware Horizon View, VMware SRM, Veeam, Dell-EMC VxRail/VxRack, VMware vSAN, and vRealize Operations Manager.

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

·         Minimum of 10 years of experience with storage, virtualization, and data center technologies.

·         Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft systems (Entra, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint M365).

·         Experience with Cohesity, Commvault, and hyper-converged systems (Nutanix, VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS).

·         Familiarity with Fibre Channel and Ethernet switching as it relates to storage and hypervisor host connectivity.

·         Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to provide world-class service.

·         Relevant certifications in VMware, Cisco, Nutanix, Dell-EMC, or Microsoft technologies are a plus.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects, deliver high-quality technical solutions, and mentor team members.

·         Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience.
