This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a talented engineering team focused on building scalable, high-impact solutions. You will oversee software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. You will work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to define and execute roadmaps that deliver meaningful outcomes. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and a data-driven approach to decision-making are essential. You will also play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and shaping the engineering culture.
· Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance coaching.
· Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in software development, architecture, and code quality.
· Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to define and execute roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
· Manage sprint planning, execution, and delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
· Advocate for scalability, reliability, and maintainability in all technical solutions.
· Promote continuous improvement through code reviews, technical discussions, and retrospectives.
· Foster cross-team collaboration and clear communication to align engineering efforts with company priorities.
· Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and onboard engineering talent effectively.
· 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in an engineering management role.
· Strong background in Python or similar scripting languages.
· Experience leading engineering teams, managing projects, and driving technical roadmaps.
· Proven ability to develop and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performing team.
· Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices.
· Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, particularly with Product Management.
· Strong balance of technical depth and strategic thinking, with focus on business impact.
· Experience in consumer-facing websites or fintech/insuretech is a plus.
