This Enterprise Software Engineer will contribute to a long-term initiative building modern internal tools that streamline operational workflows and task execution. The role spans backend services, front-end interfaces, and mobile-integrated systems, with opportunities to integrate machine learning and GenAI components. You will design and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions, collaborate with remote teams, and leverage cloud technologies to improve performance and efficiency. This position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge enterprise applications, influence architectural decisions, and develop tools that impact large-scale operational processes. Candidates will work fully remotely within U.S. time zones, contributing to high-impact projects in a professional, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java 21+ with clean APIs and object modeling with JSON.
• Build responsive interfaces and integrate mobile systems for seamless user experiences.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform (Pub/Sub, Vertex AI) to support cloud-based services and AI/ML components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement full-stack solutions and integrate AI-enhanced automation.
• Apply software engineering best practices to system architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to improve code quality and efficiency.
• Participate in remote team collaboration, including architecture discussions, code reviews, and design documentation.

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Java 21+ with experience designing backend systems and clean, maintainable APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Pub/Sub, Vertex AI).
• Understanding of full-stack system architecture and development best practices.
• Experience with machine learning or AI systems, particularly for automating tasks or processing visual inputs.
• Familiarity with responsive UI design for mobile integration; experience with React or Angular is a plus.
• Self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Must reside within the continental U.S. and work exclusively on this full-time W-2 role.
• Adherence to cybersecurity requirements, including camera-on collaboration for the first 90 days.
